This is the third Vinayagar Temple visit on
the Vinayagar Chathurthi day. This Sri Selva Vinayagar Temple is on the 100
feet bye pass road at Velachery. Since the alangaram and pooja was delayed,
returned back after attending office around 12.30 Hrs
Moolavar : Sri Selva Vinayagar.
Some of the important features of this temple are..
The temple is facing east with two
sannadhis left side for Sri Selva Vinayagar and right side for Sri Chidambaram
Periya Swamigal.
In the prakaram sannadhi for Dakshinamurthy,
Palani Andavar, Bairavar, Durgai and Nava Siddhars belonging to the respective
Navagrahas installed in a row.
There is a basement below the moolavar and
could not go inside for want of permission. The temple functions under
the control of Velachery Sri Chidambaram Periya Swamigal jeeva Samadhi temple.
His disciples are doing pooja to this temple.

The temple will be opened
between: 07.00 Hrs to 10.30 Hrs and 17.30 hrs to 20.00 hrs.

All buses to Velachery passes through this
temple. ( D70, M70,) and the temple is between Gurunanak College and Erikarai
stops.
