HISTORY AND INSCRIPTIONS
The Malai Mandala Perumal temple is also very near the Dhyana Mandapam. There are a lot of inscriptions on the base / adhistanam of the sanctum. The first inscription of Rajarja Vanakovaraiyar's donation of land in Thozhuthur for this temple. The other inscriptions speak about the Makathai Mandalam, Aragalur, as a capital ruled by Vanakovaraiyars and a land donation given to the temple for its regular functions. There is a stone tablet containing an inscription at the entrance of the temple, and efforts are being made to install it firmly.
