The
visit to the Muneeswarar Temple at Venugopal Nagar in Madhavaram was a part of a Shiva, Vishnu, and
Amman Temple visit at Padi, Korattur, and Madhavaram on 06th
February 2022. This temple is on the opposite side of the Sri Kailasanathar Temple
in Madhavaram.

The
temple faces east, with a Stucco Muneeswarar. A Horse and elephant Muneeswarar is with ferocious look in sitting sukhasana posture with left foot folded and right foot resting
on the asura’s head. He is holding an
aruval / sickle in the right hand, and the left hand is resting on a Gada.

Apart
from oru kala poojas, special poojas are conducted on Pournami (full moon days), Amavasya (New moon days), and Sundays.
