south at this place and joins with the Kaveri at Bhavani.

panel installed at the entrance of the Ambal Shrine. In that the upper portion is

bas-reliefs are in Anjali hastam.
Loose
sculptures of Amman and Various deities are kept in Ambal Temple's ardha
mandapam and outside the temple. In addition to this, some more loose sculptures are dumped on the east
side abutting the compound wall, which consists of saptamatrikas in three
pieces and Amman.
ARCHITECTURE
The
temple consists of sanctum santorum, antarala, ardha mandapam, and maha

The brick vimanam is of 2 tiers with nagara sigaram. Shiva, Dakshinamurthy,

Old
mandapam pillars are erected abutting the south side compound wall to determine the
temple’s antiquity.
