Sri Adheeswarar
A sign board on the main road
After
darshan of Sri Adhiswarar visited a Veeramathi Amman Temple, which is about 0.5
Km off main road. Since Sri Veeramathi Amman of Talkuni, Kolappalur
is our Kula Deivam ( Kurupa Nadu Kammalar or Asaris or Viswakarmas ), I was
little curious to know about this temple. This temple belongs to Kurupa nadu,
padaithalai vellalar, Eenja kootam, a sub section of Vellalar caste. Please
note that ‘Kuruppa nadu’ is invariably knowingly or unknowingly used by the
people of this region in many occasions.
My brother in-law’s friend Mr Muthusamy took me to Thingalur. The local people call the this Jain temple as ‘Chettu veettu temple’. The temple little away from the human habitat.
