VEERAIYAN & VEERAYI MEMORIAL STONES
Just before the Village Kayar
happened to see these Memorial stones near a Vinayagar Temple, on the roadside.
The images are called Veeraiyan and Veerayi. It was said that this memorial
stone was in the field and the same was shifted to this present place. Looking at the tuft these memorial stones may belong to the Nayaka period ie the 17th to 18th Century.
