The visit to
this Bhogeshwara Swamy Temple at Thondamanadu, near Srikalahasti, was a part of the “Shiva
& Vishnu Temples and Hero Stones Visit" near Srikalahasti, on 07th
July 2024.

Some of the
salient features of this temple are….
The remains of the 11th to 12th century Chozha period Shiva temple were only
this Shiva Linga banam. The Shiva Linga banam was installed back with a new
Avudayar, Rishabam, and a balipeedam.
ARCHITECTURE
Even though the Shiva Lingam belongs to the 11- 12th century, no trace of the old
structure was found. A Meta color Sheet shed was provided.

INSCRIPTIONS
An inscription slab
stone was found near the abandoned Shiva Lingam. A Metacolour Sheet Shed was
provided, and worship was started through Coimbatore “Aran Arapani Arakattalai”.

is being conducted by the villagers. No special poojas are conducted.
