Tungabhadra Dam is about 6 KM west of Hospet. The Park near the top of the dam was name after him as Thirumala Park and a statue is also installed.   Tamil labourers  were engaged in construction of this Dam and settled at Kamalapura area and some of them are working with Hampi Ruins sites.
