The temple is in the Esanya direction of West Namasivaya Puram, which is an
auspicious place for a Shiva temple. Several mystic incidents happened in
this temple. A Siddhar came to this temple and advised to do Abhishekam with tender
coconut water on Monday between 07.30 hrs to 09.00 hrs. It is believed that the
prayers will be answered for good marriage alliance and child boon after doing
coconut abhishekam on 3 consecutive Mondays.
To
get rid of any chronic problems in life the Siddhar advised to
circumambulate the temple and chant “Om Chandikeswaraya

solve the problems permanently.
