The temple is facing east in dilapidated
condition. A Kanthu with Pavadai rayar’s image and atrishul is in front of the

posture keeping the left leg folded and right leg is hanging, keeping on a
dwarf. The right hand is holding a snake
and the left hand is holding a bowl. Amman is wearing padra kundalam and big
tuft on the head instead of maguda. Why
this Oyyalamman is with 2 hands, whether She is a deity..?.. or a human, who
become Goddess..?. No answer.
The Locals believe that She is a goddess. She

the present name of Oyyalamman.
