We
had been to this temple during our Thiruvaiyaru Heritage Walk. Utilizing the opportunity
of the lunch break, we are able to spend about 2 hours in this temple. This
temple was built between Kollidam and Cauvery river in the midst of Plantain/
banana grove.
As per the Historians and the Tamil Nadu Govt Archaeology Department display this is one of the ThiruGnanasambandar Padal Petra Sthalam on the north side of River Cauvery. ( 72nd Sthalam ).

Some
of the important details are as follows..
The
temple is facing east with a nandhi on base of a platform of the old mandapam. The pillars of this muka mandapam is dumped on the north side of the temple. The sanctum sanctorum

The
temple is somewhat similar to SrinivasaNallur, near Trichy Shiva temple. Adhistanam is Kapothabandha adhistanam with
miniature reliefs on the Kandapatham and vedhikandam. Yazhi vari is just above
the kabotham. The pilasters are with 8 face Vishnu patha pillars, hanging mala, kumbam,
