A Continuation post to PattabhiRamar Temple

This 16th century ( 1554 CE )
temple is very close to Chandrasekara Temple. This east facing temple is built
on a boulder. The sanctum sanctorum consists of sanctum, antarala, and
maha mandapa with three entrances. The super structure, the 2 tier vimana was
built with brick and mortar. The Vimana has the stucco images of Balakrishna,
Narasimha, etc,. There is a pedestal with Garuda relief is
available in the sanctum.
The mandapam pillars has the reliefs of Balakrishna,
Ganesha, Hanuman and Gopika vastrapaharanam. As per the inscription the
originally the temple was called as Thiruvengalanatha, an another form of
Vishnu. When this name was changed as Saraswati Temple, nobody knows.
