This
east facing 16th ( some body
claims it is 15th century ) century Chandrasekara was built very
near to Queens bath. This temple was
dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The
sanctum sanctorum consists of sanctum, antarala, sabamandapa and mukha mandapa.
This temple has a prakara and Rajagopuram is on the east side. The Vimanam over
the sanctum was built in Dravidian style with three tiers using bricks and
mortar. The sabamandpa has two entrances and the pillars has the reliefs of saivate deities.

With this we wounded up our Hampi Ruins Heritage Visit after a brief meeting. Mr Gireesh was presented with a Guide book of Badami with all our signatures and said good bye to each other and get dropped at Bus stand for return journey to Chennai with full of Hampi memories lingering in our minds. Thanks to Gireesh, Mr Rajasekar, Mrs Vidya and my co-participants for this wonderful heritage visit. Thanks to all once again.
