man and lady came and asked for water to drink. The sculptor who is in a
tension of making this big statue, said that he has only the molten metal to offer
them, if they want. When Lord Shiva and Parvati agreed, the sculptor gave them
the molten metal. Lord Shiva and Parvati drank the molten metal, immediately
they stayed as statues of Nataraja and Sivagami. The sculptor realized that
the old Couple was non other than Lord Shiva and Parvati.

Also as per the temple meikavalar and Gurukkal told that, we can
feel the hair on the statue.
