Sri Metraleeswarar Temple, Thirukachimetrali, Sri Anekadhangavadeswarar Temple, Kachi Anekathangavatham and Kailasanathar Temple, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu - Paadal Petra Sthalangal of Thondai Nadu.

 29, July 2014
After the accident ( break in one of the bones and angle joint dislocated ) on my right leg, well-wishers advised me to go to Magaral, the 7th Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam, of Thondai Nadu near Kanchipuram. Even though I had been to this temple twice this is my third visit on 29th July 2014. After confirmation with the gurukkal ( Shanmuga Sundara Gurukkal 9444810396 )  of the temple reached the temple around 07.45 Hrs with an empty water bottle to get the abhisheka water. It was believed that the holy water would cure many deceases. Utilizing this opportunity had Lord Shiva’s darshan at Thirumetraleeswarar and Thirukachi Anekathangavatham. Also visited Sri Kailasanathar Temple near Thirukachi Anekathangavatham.

Thirugnanasambandar’s sannidhi is at the end of the street. It was believed that Lord Shiva came here and listened to Thirugnanasambandar’s hymns. Hence there is a sannadhi available in the middle of the street by the name “Utrukketta Muthesara”.

Sri Veeramathi Amman Temple, annual Festival 2014, Talguni, Erode District, Tamil Nadu.

 25, July 2014
This 2014, year Sri Veeramathi Amman’s annual festival was held on 23rd July. On the 22nd my brother reminded me. So booked the ticket in ABT   for the onward and return journey. Since it was a working day I could easily get the ticket. I reached Erode around 05.30 Hrs. After taking a bath we were able to reach the temple at Talguni, Kolappalur, near Gobichettipalayam around 08.00 Hrs. It was too late and we missed the abhishekam. After worshiping our Kula Deivam, went to my native village Pappavalasu to see my mother.  After my Mother's blessings returned to Chennai.

Sri Veeramathi Amman in Santhana Alangaram
Sri Veeramathi Amman, Sri Vinayagar ( Left ), Sri Subramaniar, and Amman's Simha vahana with Balipeedam at the center.
Pongal preparation is  in progress

Sri Karuppasamy our Kaval theivam
My cousin and my brothers are monitoring the temple's income expenses.

When I crossed Kolappalur near Gobichettipalayam, I noticed this old building with hand made tiled roof. This building was built in 1911, nearly 103 years ago. This was in memory of the British King's Pattabhishekam. ( In India there are some loyalists to Britishers. )

When I was waiting for the bus, I could notice 2 heads on a pedestal. I was told that this is a Kaaval Theivam of this place Kolappalur.  ( Normally Kaval Deivam will be at the end of the village ). The Kaval deivam name is pottusamy. During the festival of Pachai Nayaki Amman, people used to worship this kaval Teivam first and then Pachai Amman.
