Chandra begged to take back his curse. In turn Daksha replied that he cannot take away the curse and suggested to Pray to Lord Shiva to get relieved from the Curse.

So Chandra did a penance on Lord Shiva. Satisfied with his prayers Lord Shiva appeared before Chandra and asked what he wants...? Chandra requested Lord Shiva to relieve him from the Daksha’s curse.
