Sri Adheeswarar
A signboard on the main road
After the darshan of Sri Adhiswarar visited the Veeramathi Amman Temple, which is about 0.5
Km off the main road. Since Sri Veeramathi Amman of Talkuni, Kolappalur is our Kula Deivam ( Kurupa Nadu Kammalar or Asaris or Vishwakarma), I was a little curious to know about this temple. This temple belongs to Kurupa Nadu, Padaithalai Vellalar, and Eenja Kootam, a sub-section of the Vellalar caste. Please
note that ‘Kuruppa nadu’ is invariably knowingly or unknowingly used by the
people of this region on many occasions.
My brother-in-law’s friend Mr Muthusamy took me to Thingalur. The local people call this Jain temple ‘Chettu Veettu Temple’. The temple little away from the human habitat.
