 05 August 2012
To increase my score of Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalangal darshan, I started my second yatra to Kumbakonam for the remaining 18 temples, out of 36 temples from my original list, on  03-08-2012. (Please refer to my previous post.) Before starting from Chennai, I had gone through the website for the weather report to make sure of visiting all the left-out temples. Reached Kumbakonam on 04-08-2012, 05.00 Hrs.

After taking a bath, hire a Taxi, since the transport facility is not available frequently for some of the temples. (Taxi charged me Rs 1800 plus the driver's batta). Utilizing this opportunity, I want to cover a larger number of Temples. On the first day, I was able to cover 16 temples. Since I had prepared the temple route using Google Maps, I did not find any difficulty in reaching the place, also the driver himself knows 50% of the temple routes. The Details of the temples and the photographs are uploaded as per the route I followed, from Thirunageswaram to Azhakaputtur. Throughout the day, it was cloudy without rain and very hot.
