PAADAL PETRA SHIVA STHALANGAL IN AND AROUND KUMBAKONAM - DAY 2. 05-08-2012 - SUNDAY
On the second day ie 05-08-2012, I covered the three temples using public transport. First I went to MARUTHAA NALLUR through Kumbakonam to Mannargudi bus. After darshan went to THIRUKALAYANALLUR ( Now this place is called Sakkottai ) for a walk. The Gurukal told me it would be a half km, but it was 2 km from Maruthanallur temple. After darshan at Thirukalayanallur, Gurukkal dropped me at a nearby bus stand to get an auto to SIVAPURAM, which is about 4 KM. The bus facility to this village is very limited. The auto driver charged me  Rs 120  and after darshan, he dropped me back at the same place to catch a bus to Kumbakonam. The time was around 10.00 when I reached the Kumbakonam bus stand.
