The annual festival
of Sri Veeramathi Amman, our Kula deivam was celebrated on 21st and
22nd July 2015 in a grand manner. Booked my tickets for onward
and return on receipt of the intimation from my brother. As usual started by
journey to ERODE and reached the temple around 07.30 Hrs via Kavindapadi ( My
brother’s residence ), Gobichettipalayam and Kolappalur ( On the way to Tiruppur
via Kunnathur.) This time also I missed Amman’s abhishekam.
As usual the festival
was a two functions ( இரு பெரும்
விழா
) one for Amman and other for Sri Karuppanna Swamy. Had seen the Maa
Vilakku procession. After darshan and asirvatham of
Sri Veeramathi Amman, reached my tiny Village Pappavalasu to see my
Mother and sister. After lunch and a small nap returned to Erode to catch
Yercaud Express to Chennai. The train reached Chennai as scheduled.

The
offered money ( coins are short ) – what to do ? The elder of our group Thiru Manickam came with a solution, add a coconut – the thulabharam came to neutral and
instructed to offer twice the weight amount of money
