Kampatheeswarar Temple, Chinnaripatti.
This Ayyanar is at Kampatheeswarar Shiva temple, believed to be a Pallipadai temple. This Ayyanar panel measures 85 Cm in height and 160 CM in width. It has ( Vattezhuthu ) inscriptions on the back. This inscription records that this sculpture was by DevanenVetkovar, when Rajasinga Pallavar was in power as the local administrator of the region in the 10th Century CE. The term “Vetko” was already found in Various explorations in the past, which means “Potter”. Hence the inscription indicates that the Ayyanar sculpture was sculpted by a potter named Devanen.

It was told that this Ayyanar was unearthed during excavation at the temple. This Ayyanar is found broken in the middle.
