JYOTIRLINGA DARSHAN YATRA – 2016, SRISAILAM SRI MALLIKARJUNAR TEMPLE - Part – XIII.

26th February, 2016.
DAY -9, 10-02-2016.
After the dharshan  at moola Brindavan of Sri Raghavendra, started our Yathra to our next destination of Srisailam around 03.30 Hrs and reached Srisailam by 11.30 hrs to the forest and hill. This is the third visit to this temple. Since we are 38 yathris and considering the time we had not undertaken the local visit, which we had done during our earlier visit and even we skipped the Pathala Ganga bath also.

Some of the important details during this yathra are follows….
  1. There are not much changes inside the temple except the Q complex. Considering the time we went through the Rs 100  dharshan Q.
  2. This time I had the dharshan of Ramar Prathista sahasra lingam, Arthanareeswarar, Veerabathirar, Shiva parvathy in the corridor, Naagars, Sila roobam of King Shivaji gets the sword from kali matha.
  3. Virutha Lingam ( Virutha- srisailam hill ) near theertha kulam and the moolavar seems to be of a tree trunk.
  4. The north side damaged Rajagopuram is under reconstruction. And observed from the excavation that the north side wall sinks to a depth of 5 feet or the floor level might have increased.
