NADAI VAAVI – AYYANGARKULAM, NEAR KANCHIPURAM.
This structure was built during the Vijayanagara period. This has an entrance arch with steps to the mandapam below the ground level. There is an arrangement to drain out the rainwater accumulated from the underground floor. The mandapa Pillars have beautiful reliefs.

Sri Varadaraja Swamy is fond of traveling in and around Kanchipuram to bless his devotees. Every year during Chitra Pournami day ( Full moon day ) Perumal used to visit here. The purchaser will be kept in the underground mandapam for about 5 minutes for pooja. After this Sri Varadaraja Swamy will return back to  Kanchipuram.
