Maha Vishnu and Vinayagar Temple at Siruvanjur / சிறுவஞ்சூர், Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu.

The Visit to this Vinayagar/Maha Vishnu Temple at Siruvanjur near Nattarasanpattu was a part of Shiva and Vishnu temples Visit on the east and west sides of  Grand Southern Trunk   Road ( GST Road ) from Old Perungalathur to Chettipunyam on 14th November 2021.

On the way to Sri Thiruvaleeswarar temple from Orathur Sri Agastheeswarar Temple, happened to see a Vinayagar temple and found an Amman statue in half-buried condition.  I was a little curious about who could be. When went around the shrine found a Maha Vishnu statue that was also half buried. Both are found beautiful and nobody was around to help me to know more. Since the Mahavishnu and Thayar statues were there, a Maha Vishnu Temple might have been around the area. As per the iconography. Maha Vishnu and Thayar may be 300 to 400 years old.

HOW TO REACH
The temple at Siruvanjur is about 7 KM from Orathur, 11 KM from Padappai, and 48 KM from Chennai.
Nearest Railway station is Tambaram.
