Arulmigu Aranmanai Mariamman Temple, Kunnathur, Tiruppur District, Tamil Nadu.

This is one of the Amman temples of Kunnathur located inside the weekly market with an entrance from Kunnathur to Nambiyur Road. The presiding deity is Arulmigu Aranmanai Mariamman. The temple faces North with an entrance arch on the roadside. Stucco images of Saraswathi, Amman, and Lakshmi are on the top.


The temple consists of a sanctum sanctorum and an open mandapa. The Amman looks cute in the sanctum sanctorum. A Trishul, balipeedam, a swing, and simha vahana are in front of the sanctum. Rajaganapathy sannadhi is in the prakara facing east. The sanctum sanctorum is in rectangular shape. A two-tier vimana with 3 kalasas are on the top.

The temple is believed to be very old and reconstructed in recent years with stone. How this Amman is called with the prefix Aranmanai is not known.

This temple is on the left side of the bus stand and at the east entrance of the weekly market.
Kunnathur is at the junction of Tiruppur to Gobichettipalayam and Erode/ Perundurai to Tiruppur via Perumanallur. 
Kunnathur is 40 KM from Erode, 21 KM from Gobichettipalayam and 28 KM from Tiruppur
The nearest railway station of Tiruppur.
