The temple was built in a village style without conforming to any architectural style. There is no vimanam above the sanctum sanctorum.

The temple belongs to the 10th to 11th century Chozha period. An inscription tablet was found in this temple. For safety reasons, the same was moved to Sri Brahmeswarar Temple in the same village.
