Arulmigu Pidari Ilan Kaliamman Temple / Sri Ilangaliamman Temple / பிடாரி ஸ்ரீ இளங்காளி அம்மன், Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

This temple is on Mount Road near Saidapet bus terminus. It is said that this is one of the Kaaval Theivam for Mambalam Village, (southeast corner of the Mambalam village ).   The temple is facing east. The sanctum sanctorum consists of Sanctum, Artha mandapam and a mukha mandapam. There are sannidhis for Vinai Theertha Vinayagar, Valli Devasena Subramaniar, and Navagrahas.

In koshtam Mahalakshmi, Saraswati and Durgai. In the sanctum, Amman is in a sitting posture with an urchavar in front. 

In the front mandapam relief panels of Saptamatrikas and Annanmars. Anjaneyar is on the opposite side of the sanctum. Panchamuga Vinayagar, Bhairavar, Naagar, Arasadi Vinayagar, and Adhiseshan, under the peepal tree.

ARCHITECTURE

The Dravida Vimana is unique in construction on a square sanctum sanctorum and with Kali’s stucco images on all 8 faces. The two-tier Vimana has only one kalasam, unlike other  Amman temples, ( like Rajagopuram ). Stucco images of Kali Amman is on the sides of the Vimanam.

The temple will be kept open between 07.00 hrs to 12.00 and 16.30 Hrs to 20.30 Hrs.
