The presiding deity is Sri Subramanian. The
temple faces east with the balipeedam and Dwajasthambam on the east side. The main
entrance to the temple is from the north with a Rajagopuram. The temple was built
during the 19th century with a Vinayagar Shrine on the left side of
the Main Rajagopuram.
In the outer praharam sannidhi for Pamban
Swamigal, Ramalinga Vallalar, Chidambara Swamigal, Bairavar, Idumban, Suryan,
Kadambar, Arunagirinathar, Palani Andavar, Naagars, Saneeswarar, Navagrahas,
Lakshmi, Durgai, Saraswathy, Valli Devasena Subramaniar, Kasi Viswanathar with
Visalakshi (in a separate Temple), Nalvar with Sekkizhar.
In the inner praharam, Urchavars, Nava
Veerarars, Valli Nayaki, Deivanai, Chandikeswarar, Palliyarai, Shanmugar, and Natarajar Saba.

The temple is about a km distance from the Suburban Railway Station.
The temple can also be reached from the Guindy Bus Stand (2 km) and the Saidapet Bus Stand (1 km). Since this temple is not on the
