Sri Subramaniyar Temple / Sengunthar Kottam, Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The presiding deity is Sri Subramanian. The temple faces east with the balipeedam and Dwajasthambam on the east side. The main entrance to the temple is from the north with a Rajagopuram. The temple was built during the 19th century with a Vinayagar Shrine on the left side of the Main Rajagopuram. Moolavar mandapam pillars are stone, and it is said that the structure has existed for more than 400 years. In koshtam Durgai and the deities of various images of Lord Muruga.


In the outer praharam sannidhi for Pamban Swamigal, Ramalinga Vallalar, Chidambara Swamigal, Bairavar, Idumban, Suryan, Kadambar, Arunagirinathar, Palani Andavar, Naagars, Saneeswarar, Navagrahas, Lakshmi, Durgai, Saraswathy, Valli Devasena Subramaniar, Kasi Viswanathar with Visalakshi (in a separate Temple), Nalvar with Sekkizhar.

In the inner praharam, Urchavars, Nava Veerarars, Valli Nayaki, Deivanai, Chandikeswarar, Palliyarai, Shanmugar, and Natarajar Saba.

The Senguntha Mudaliar community is taking care of the temple functions and day-to-day operations.

The temple will be open from 06.00 hrs to 11.00 hrs and from 17.00 hrs to 21.00 hrs with 4 kala pooja.

HOW TO REACH :
The temple is about a km distance from the Suburban Railway Station.
The temple can also be reached from the Guindy Bus Stand (2 km) and the Saidapet Bus Stand (1 km). Since this temple is not on the bus route, it may be reached by auto or taxi.
