The shiva temple on the west side of the Devi Pattinam Bus Stand.

Some of the important features of this temple are....
The temple is facing east with a 5 tier Rajagopuram and Palipedam, Dwajasthambam and Nandhi are immediately after the Rajagopuram.
The sanctum sanctorum consists of Sanctum, Arthamandapam and a Mahamandapam.
Ambal is in the Mahamandapam facing south in standing posture and Bairavar.
In the outer prakaram sannadhi for Nagars, Dhakshinamurthy, Vinayagar Sandikeswarar and Murugan without Valli Devasena.
In koshtam Dhakshinamurthy, Lingothbavar and Durgai in place of Brahma.
In the arthamandapam, sannadhi for Adhi Durgai, Vinayagar and Murugan.
It was believed that Ramar on the way to Ayothya Worshiped Lord Shiva of this temple with ‘el” a variety of millet.
The temple also comes under Ramanthapuram Samasthanam. The temple is estimated to be of more than 1000 years old and Chozha period inscriptions are there in the athistanam.
The temple will be kept open between 07.30 Hrs to 12.00 Hrs and 17.00 Hrs to 20.00 Hrs
HOW TO REACH:
The temple is about 15 KM from Ramanthapuram.
The Buses from Ramanthapuram Bus stand to Devakottai Passes through this place.
NAVAPAHANA NAVAGRAHAS AT DEVIPATTINAM
Since there is no Navagraha Sannadhi in the Shiva Temple, The Navapashana Navagrahas, like square concrete poles are considered as Navagrahas in the sea. It was believed that Sri Rama Worshiped Lord Shiva Thilakeswarar at Devipattinam and came to this place and done parikaram. Lot of people throngs this place for Navagraha Parikaram.
