Adi Jagannatha Perumal Temple and Darbha Sayana Ramar Temple, Thirupullani, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu.

11th January 2017.
On the second day also went to Uthirakosamangai to have the darshan of Maragatha Nataraja in Sandalwood paste decoration. Also, I had the opportunity to worship lord Shiva from the artha mandapam. Then tried to get a bus to Thirupullani. People said buses are available only from Ramanathapuram. There were very few people who turned up for the darshan.

Some of the important features of this temple are...
The temple faces east with balipeedam, Dwajasthambam, and Garudalwar at the front. In the sanctum, Yoga Narasimhar with Sridevi and Bhoodevi are in a sitting posture with their lower hands in abhaya and vara hastham. In one of the koshtam, Lakshmi Narasimhar. On his right, Thayar sannidhi and Thayar are in a sitting posture.

On his left, Ramar is reclining on Adiseshan and darbha grass, which is connected to the epic of Ramayan. In the Sanctum Sanctorum, Moolavar Ramar is with Seetha and Lakshmana. In the front mandapam sannadhi for Santhana Gopalakrishna.

In front of Darbha Sayana Ramar Sannidhi, sannadhi for Pattabhisheka Ramar with Lakshmana and Seetha. There is no separate sannadhi for Anjaneyar except urchavar. This is like a separate temple with a balipeedam and a Dwajasthambam.

The temple is under the control of Ramanathapuram Samasthanam.


TEMPLE TIMINGS:
The temple will be kept open from 07.30 hrs to 12.30 hrs, and from 15.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs.

HOW TO REACH:
Buses are available from the Ramanathapuram bus stand.
The route buses to Kilakarai pass through this temple and are about 10 km from Ramanathapuram New bus stand.
