03rd
November 2017.
Attending the Kumbabishekam of our Kula Deivam temple is a lifetime opportunity for me. Excited to hear the date, booked the train tickets to my native. This was a multipurpose
visit. Attending Kumbhabhishekam, seeing my Mom, and attending the Srirangam
Heritage Visit are coupled in this visit. Details of my previous visits and
annual functions held are written in separate posts in this blog (2012... 2013.... 2014.... 2015.... 2016.... 2017). I was happy that a
photo taken by me was printed and distributed to all devotees.
The
Kumbhabhishekam date was announced in a meeting held at the temple with an
estimate of expenditure. On hearing, the amount was
pouring in. The work started and was completed in scheduled time. Understood that the total expenses incurred towards provision for the shed
for dining, front pandal, painting, ladder arrangements were borne by an individual, very great indeed. Amman was moved out after conducting the
palalyam pooja. The sanctum was fixed with granite tiles, Karuppanna Swamy was
moved to inside the shed, and a new kannimar panel was also made and
installed.
The
Kumbhabhishekam was performed on 3rd November 2017 after performing
the agama poojas and Homam. The temple was consecrated by pouring holy water on
the vimana, Sri Veeramathi Amman, Vinayagar, Subramaniyar, Kannimar, and Sri
Karuppaswamy for around 10 hrs. Prayed to Sri Veeramathi Amman for her
blessings.. Thanks maa..
