Three Village boys led us  to the top of another hill where the Dolmen are there. It   took us almost an hour to reach the 100 meter height through the thorny bush after clearing path, by cutting thorny bushes. On the path, we walked, some places   moved after bending ourselves   and some places crawled to reach the final destination.  Finally reached the peak of the hill at a height of 1200 meters and seen the Dolmens  with holes on the eastern side wall. There were about 25 dolmens  and a karkuvai.  Most of the dolmens are in disturbed condition. The Dolmens side walls are erected in such a way that they resembles like swastika in the reverse order. The dolmens are measured 4 feet in width and 7 feet in length. One of the dolmen was covered with a big stone slab.

சிறிது ஓய்வுக்குப்பின் மீண்டும் அடுத்த மலையை நோக்கி கல் திட்டைகலைக் காண ஒருமணி நேர பயணம். கிராமத்து சிறுவர்கள் மூவர் வழியை அடைத்து வளர்ந்திருந்த முட்செடிகளை வெட்டி வழிகாட்ட.. ஆடு மாடுகள் மேச்சலுக்கு சென்ற வழியே சில தூரம். முட்கள் நிறைந்த புதர்களின் ஊடே சில தூரம், குனிந்தும், சிறிது தூரம் தவழ்ந்தும் என  சுமார் 1200 மீட்டர் மலையின் உச்சியை அடைந்தோம்.. முட்கள் கைகளை கீரி இரத்தம் வந்து எரிச்சலை உண்டாக்கிய வேதனை கல்திட்டைகளைக் கண்டதும் பறந்து விட்டது. சுமார் 5000 வருடங்கள் பழைமையான  பெருங்கற்காலத்தைச் சார்ந்த கல்திட்டைகள் சுமார் 25க்கு மேல் இருக்கும். கல்திட்டைகள் இடுதுளையுடன். இடுதுளைகள் எல்லாம் கிழக்கு நோக்கி. இதன் வழியே இறந்தவர்களின் ஆவி வெளியே சென்று மீண்டும் திரும்பும் என்று நம்பியதாக ஆய்வாளர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர். ஒவ்வொன்றும் சுமார் 4 அடி அகலமும் 7 அடி நீளமும் கொண்டதாக இருந்தது. கல்திட்டைகளின் சுவர் கற்பலகைகள் திருப்பி சுழலும் ஸ்வஸ்திக் அமைப்பில் இருந்தது. மேலே பெரிய கணமான கற்பலகைகளால் மூடப்பட்டு இருந்தது. சிலவற்றைத் தவிர பெரும்பாலான கற்திட்டைகள் இயற்க்கையின் சீற்றத்திற்க்குப் பலியாகி சிதைந்த நிலையில் இருந்தன. இவற்றுடன் ஒரு கற்குவையும் காணப்பட்டது.

On return we trekked along the cattle path and found easy,  hope we had missed the actual route while climbing !!.  The Pallipurathar and his wife treated us like their guests  and offered us Kothamalli tea, lunch both non veg and Veg, jack fruit etc. with a smiling face. To the top of all,  they invited us to attend Aadi month’s Amman festival.  It was an unforgettable experience we had at the Pallipurathar’s residence.

   

கற்திட்டைகளைக் கண்ட பின்பு மதிய உணவுக்கு பள்ளிபுரத்தார் வீட்டை நோக்கி பயணம். வழியே ஆடு மாடுகள் மேச்சலில்.. அவற்றின் கழுத்தில கட்டி இருந்த மணியின் ஓசை ஒரு இசை.. ஒரு சங்கீதம்.. கீழே இறங்கும் போது பாதைகள் மாறாமலும்,  ஆடு மாடுகள் சென்ற வழியே முட்புதர்களில் சிக்காமலும் வந்து சேர்ந்தோம். மதிய உணவு பலாப்பழம், சுட்ட பலாக்கொட்டை, சாம்பார் ரசத்துடன் சாதம் என எங்களை உபசாரத்தில் திக்கு முக்காட வைத்தனர் பள்ளிபுரத்தாரும் அவர் மனைவியும். அந்த கிராமத்து வீட்டின் திண்ணையில் அமர்ந்து இயற்க்கையை ரசித்துக்கொண்டே சாப்பிட்டதே ஒரு மீன்டும் கிடைக்காத இனிய அனுபவம்.

After saying goodbye to all, 15 of us, started our return journey around 15.00 hrs, aimed to reach the base Village Vedappatti  before sun set. The Villagers stayed back in the Village itself. While we are climbing down, wWe could not believe the path, which we climbed up.   We could able recognize the trees which we crossed. With out guidance,  we got confused on two places and finally managed to reach the start point, where we parked our vehicles. Siva Dropped me at the bus stop to catch the bus to Erode. I extend my sincere thanks to Mr Mohan, Mr Siva, Mr Selvamani, Mr Moorthy the organizer, and the Villagers M/s Pallipurathar , Ammani, Cholan and Kumaresan for all the help for this Bhodha malai trekking.  Thanks once gain to all..

 

கிராமத்தாரின் உபசரிப்பின் உச்ச கட்டம்.. வரும் ஆடிமாதம் பண்டிகைக்கு அவர்கள் வீட்டு விருந்துக்கு அழைத்ததுதான். எளிமையிலும் எவ்வளவு உயர்ந்த பண்பு.  திரு மூர்த்தி, பள்ளிபுரத்தார், அம்மணி அம்மாள் மற்றும் அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி கூறி விடை பெற்றுக்கொண்டு மதிய உணவுக்குப் பிறகு சுமார் 3மணி அளவில் மெதுவாக உண்ட மயக்கத்திலும், முந்தய இரவின் இரயில் பயணத்து தூக்கமின்மையால் ஏற்பட்ட அசதியுடன்  கீழே இறங்கத் துவங்கினோம், சூரியனின் மறைவுக்கு முன்பு மலையின் அடிவாரத்தை அடைந்து விடவேண்டும் என்ற இலக்குடன்.  ஏறுவதை விட இறங்குவது சிறிது சிரமமாகவே இருந்தது. பாதையில் கிடந்த கற்கள் இறங்குவதை மேலும் தாமதப்படுத்தியது. மாலை நேரம் நெருங்க நெருங்க ஆடுமாடுகள் மந்தை மந்தையாக அம்மந்தையின் மூத்த ஆடு / மாட்டின் கழுத்தில் கட்டப்பட்ட மணியின் ஓசையாப் பின் தொடர்ந்து பட்டிக்கு திரும்பிக்கொண்டு இருந்தன.   ஆனாலும் நாலரை மணிநேரம் பிடித்த மலையேற்றம் இறங்கும் போது மூன்று மணிநேரமே ஆனது. இந்த மலையேற்றத்தை ஏற்பாடு செய்து நடத்திய திரு மோகன், திரு சிவா, ஆசான்  கலைசெல்வன், திரு செல்வமணி, திரு குமாரவேல் மற்றும் பங்கு கொண்ட அனைவருக்கும் என் உளம் கனிந்த நன்றி. நன்றி. நன்றி, மீண்டும் சந்திப்போம் பிறிதொரு மரபு நடையில் என்ற எதிர்பார்ப்புடன்...
