Sri Palani Andavar Temple, Thiruparankundram, Madurai, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu.

This temple  was covered during the 53rd Ahimsa walk on 05th May 2018 along with the Parshvanath and Mahavir bas- reliefs visit.
 

Moolavar : Sri Palani Andavar.

Some of the important details are as follows.
This temple is facing west with an entrance from north. The sanctum sanctorum consists of a sanctum, an artha mandapam, and a mukha mandapam. In the artha mandapam sannadhi for Muthukumaraswamy, Veerabhadra, and Kasi Viswanathar with Visalakshi.

In the front mandapam moortham of Siddhi Vinayagar. Sannadhi for Idumban and Kadamban are in the outer prakaram.  On the south side of the temple Mahavir, Parshwanath Tirthankara bas-reliefs are carved on the rock. Once this place must have belonged to Jains and later this Palani Andavar temple was constructed. In the artha mandapam, there are three statues erected along with a pillar that belongs to Nayakars who are responsible for the construction of this temple.

TEMPLE TIMINGS:
The temple will be kept open between 07.00 hrs to 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs.

HOW TO REACH:
This temple is very close to Thiruparankundram Murugan temple.
This temple is on the way to Kailasanathar temple on the top of the hill.
