This temple  was covered during the 53^rd Ahimsa walk on 05^th May 2018 along with the Parshvanath and Mahavir bas- reliefs visit.

 

Moolavar : Sri Palani Andavar.

Some of the important details are as follows.

This temple is facing west with an entrance from north. The sanctum sanctorum consists of sanctum, artha mandapam and a mukha mandapam. In the artha mandapam sannadhi for Muthukumaraswamy, Veerabhadra and Kasi Viswanathar with Visalakshi.

In the front mandapam moortham of Siddhi Vinayagar. Sannadhi for Idumban and Kadamban are in the outer prakaram.  On the south side of the temple Mahavir, Parshwanath Tirthankara bas-reliefs are carved on the rock. Once this place must have belonged to Jains and latter this Palani Andavar temple was constructed. In the artha mandapam there are three statues erected along with a pillar may be belongs to Nayakars who are responsible for construction of this temple.

TEMPLE TIMINGS:

The temple will be kept opened between 07.00 hrs to 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs.

HOW TO REACH:

This temple is very close to Thiruparankundram Murugan temple.

This temple is on the way to Kailasanathar temple on the top of the hill.
