Sri Pachai Vanna Perumal Temple / Shri Pachai Vannar Temple, Kanchipuram, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu.

23rd September 2018.
After darshan of Sri Iravasthanam Lord Shiva, on the way to Kanchipuram, noticed this Perumal Temple on the right side of the main road, which is not very old.  Even though this Perumal temple is not a Divya desam, the battar told that this temple is a part of Pavala Vanna Perumal temple.


Moolavar : Sri Pachai Vanna Perumal temple
Thayar    : Sri Maragathavalli Thayar.

Some of the important details are as follows…
The temple is facing east with a palipedam, Dwajasthambam and Garudalwar in the prakaram after the entrance arch. In the outer prakaram sannadhi for Sri Maragathavalli Thayar, as a separate temple facing east. Moolavar is in sitting posture, the upper hands holds Conch and discus ( chakkara ), lower right hand in abhaya hastha and lower left hand rests on his thigh.

ARCHITECTURE
The sanctum sanctorum consists of sanctum, antarala, artha mandapam and a mukha mandapam. Sri Andal, Acharyas, Mirror room are in the mukamandpam. 


HISTORY AND INSCRIPTIONS
It was told that the temple was built by Pallavas and latter rebuilt during Chozhas and Vijayanagaras.

LEGENDS
Perumal gave darshan to Marichi maharishi in green colour.
 
TEMPLE TIMINGS:
The temple kept opened between 08.00 hrs to 11.00 hrs and 16.00 hrs to 19.00 hrs.
