LEGENDS
Any temple located on the banks of river, if it flows from south to north, then the temple is considered equivalent to kasi. Since this temple is located on the banks of Bhavani River and the river flows from south to north, hen this temple is equivalent to Kasi. The annual and monthly rituals and rites are conducted at this place for the ancestors instead of going to Kasi.

Miracle.. The sthala vruksham bilva tree was cut few year before. A sprout of the tree is growing at the centre of the trunk, seems to be a miracle.
