The Malai mandala Perumal temple
is also very near to the Dhyana Mandapam. There are lot of inscription on the
base / adhistanam of the sanctum. The first inscription of Rajarja
Vanakovaraiyar's donation of land in Thozhuthur for this temple. The other inscriptions
speaks about the Makathai mandalam, Aragalur as a capital Ruled by
Vanakovaraiyars and a land donation given to the temple for its regular
functions. There is stone tablet contains inscription at the entrance of the
temple and efforts are on to install firmly.
