Sri Virupaksheeswarar Temple, / ஸ்ரீ விருப்பாக்ஷீஸ்வரர் கோயில், Mylapore, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

A continuation post to Sri Kolavizhi Amman…..
15th October 2016
This is the 4th of the 7 Saptha Sthana temples in Mylapore. As a part of Saptha Sthana Sthalangal of Mylapore in Chennai, visited earlier ( for details Click here…..)  This is a 1000-year-old temple. An inscription stone is available on the sanctum wall, but not in readable condition. The Rajagopuram was constructed and Kumbhabhishekam was conducted recently.  As per Mr. Venkatesh, this temple was managed by Poompavai's father. ( For the thevara hymn sung by Thirugnanasambandar, Poompavai came alive from the ash at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple - a miracle of Lord Shiva  ).
