Siddhapureeswarar Temple / Siddhapuriswarar Temple, Pushpagiri (Sirumathur), Padappai, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu.

08th March 2020.
The visit to this temple was not planned earlier. After the Thenneri Shiva Temple visit, on the way to Tambaram, Mr Kesavan, a Heritage Enthusiast told me about this temple with the Pallava period Gajalakshmi, hence decided to visit this temple.

The temple is open to the sky with a Shivalinga, Nandhi, Balipeedam, and Siddhi Vinayagar. A Gajalakshmi panel was installed near Shivalinga, in which Lakshmi is sitting on Lotus with both legs touching the floor. She is shown with two hands holding lotus flowers and a Pallava period makuda. Elephants are shown on the sides.

It was said that there was a Pallava period Shiva Temple existed in the same place and inscriptions are also recorded.  Mahashivratri is celebrated in a grand manner.
