There is a mutt/mandapam in the fields, about 200 meters away from the temple. It was told that Vinayagar, Shiva Lingam with Ambal, Sri Valli Devasena Arumugar are in this mutt/ mandapam. The mandapam is in a dilapidated condition, hence the idols are shifted to this temple for safety reasons.
