Archaeological Museum /मांडू म्यूज़ियम, Mandu, Madhya Pradesh.

The visit to this Mandu Museum, Mandu, in Madhya Pradesh, was a part of “Magnificent Madhya Pradesh Yatra - Bhopal / Indore / Mandu / Maheswar / Ujjain”, from Nov 23 to Nov 29, 2025, organised by Mantra Yathra. Thanks to Mr Balaji Davey and his team of Mantra Yatra (website), for the excellent arrangement and personal care.

TAVELI MAHAL
The name Taveli is a corrupt form of "Tavela", which literally means "Stable'. The building was thus a "stable block" or mansion since its ground floor was used for the stable and the apartments in the two upper storeys were meant for the accommodation of the guards. This is easily explained by the fact that a gateway is close to the Royal Enclave. Presently, the ground floor houses a museum and an office.

The temple components, sculptures, and the excavated pot shards, inscription stones, etc., are on display.
