Archaeological Museum, Kamalapura and Hampi, Hampi Ruins, Hampi, Karnataka.

....a Continuation post to Sri ChandraSekara Temple 

 19^th June 2017.

Both the museums houses various antiquities that were recovered in and around Hampi like prehistoric stone implements, Pottery, stone, Metal, and Stucco sculptures, Coins of Vijayanagara empire, Copper plate epigraphs, metal objects, Manuscripts and miscellaneous objects. The Kamalapura museum has three galleries viz: Shaiva, Vaishnava and miscellaneous. It has a scaled model of Hampi valley in the courtyard. In addition to this there are  two more cultural galleries near Lotus mahal. To my observation the sculptures are mainly for Hero stones, sati stones and Veerabhadra and other deities.
