Archaeological Museum, Kamalapura and Hampi, Hampi Ruins, Hampi, Karnataka.

....a Continuation post to Sri ChandraSekara Temple 

 19^th June 2017.

Both the museums house various antiquities that were recovered in and around Hampi like prehistoric stone implements, Pottery, stone, Metal, and Stucco sculptures, Coins of the Vijayanagara empire, Copperplate epigraphs, metal objects, Manuscripts, and miscellaneous objects. The Kamalapura museum has three galleries viz: Shaiva, Vaishnava, and miscellaneous. It has a scaled model of Hampi Valley in the courtyard. In addition to this, there are two more cultural galleries near Lotus Mahal. In my observation, the sculptures are mainly for Hero stones, sati stones Veerabhadra, and other deities.
