02nd
July 2017.
After the darshan of Sri Arthanareeswarar, in search of Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple on
the way, I saw this Vinayagar Temple after crossing the foot over the bridge.
It was said that the Vinayagar on the southwest corner of the inner praharam was more than 300 years
old, and the temple was built later.
The
temple faces east with a Rajagopuram of 5 tiers. Vinayagar sannidhi is
immediately after the Rajagopuram since Ganapathy is the presiding deity. Sannadhi for Dakshinamurthy, Vinayagar (original), Sri Valli Devasena Subramaniar, Durgai, Suryan, Nagar, Krishnan, and Palani Andavar.
The
unique feature of this temple is cheppu/bronze vigrahas of Gajalakshmi, Rishabaroodar (Shiva and Parvathi on Rishabam), Venkatachalapathy, Hanuman, Arupadai Veedu
Arumugam (All Utsavars of Arupadai Veedu temples of Thiruthani, Thiruparankundram, Swamimalai, Palani, PazhamudirCholai, and Thiruchendur with their consorts), and Natarajar are
in individual sannidhis.
TEMPLE TIMINGS:
The
temple will be kept open from 07.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs and from 17.30 hrs to
20.30 hrs.
