Sri Neelakandeswarar Temple / Kethu sthalam /அருள்மிகு ஸ்ரீ நீலகண்டேஸ்வரர் கோவில் - கேது க்ஷேத்திரம், கெருகம்பாக்கம் / Gerugambakkam, ( Chennai Metropoliton area ), Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu.

This is the second visit to this temple and there were a lot of changes compared to my earlier visit. This Visit was a part of Nagaraha temples' Visit around Chennai.

Some of the features of this temple are...
The temple is facing east without Dwajasthambam and Rajagopuram.The outer compound was constructed through donation and daily poojas are conducted ). There is no moortham in the koshtam. Moortham of Vinayagar and Bhairavar are in artha mandapam.

There is only outer praharam and there is no vimanam on the sanctum sanctorum for both Moolavar and Ambal. Ambal is in a separate sannidhi in standing posture. The entrance to the shrine is from the south and the temple is facing east.

In the outer prakaram sannadhi for Naagar and Navagrahas.

LEGENDS
This is one of the Navagraha Sthalam of Thondai Nadu around Chennai and a Ketu Parihara Sthalam. Devotees used to do poojas to get relieved from naga dosha.

HOW TO REACH :
About 5 KM from Porur junction and the place is Gerugambakkam. The temple is about a km off the main road on the left side.
