This
temple has existed since ancient times, but not in its present shape. As per the old
Lady who does the pooja, Jada Muneeswarar was in the trunk of a banyan tree,
the banks of an eri’s bund. Now the band has been converted into a linking road
between Manapakkam and Gerukambakkam. Slowly the temple was built with a stucco
image of Sri Jadamuneeswarar. Actually, Jadamuneeswarar is a Grama Deity, who
guards/protects the Village.
In
praharam, Stucco image of Jadamuneeswarar’s Horse, and Saptakannis.
POOJAS AND
CELEBRATIONS

from regular poojas, the Villagers do pongal and offer to Jada Muneeswarar
when their wishes are fulfilled. The annual festival will be conducted on Chithra Pournami day with 3 times pooja and Yaga. Annadhanam will also be served on that day.
